Bitcoin is back under$78 000, and a corrective movement is forming on the chart after an unsuccessful attempt to gain a foothold above $80,000. Today, pressure is increasing due to rising US bond yields and expectations of a tighter Fed policy.
At the same time, the fundamental picture does not look unequivocally bearish. In August, US spot BTC-ETFs received approximately$3.52 billion, which was the best month for funds in 2026. After one day of outflow, purchases resumed, but on September 2, ETFs again showed negative flow.

BTCUSD, H1. Key Bitcoin support levels for September 2.
Key BTC levels
According to the schedule, three zones are now particularly interesting:
76 097→ the first support and the nearest area for a potential rebound.
75 491→ the next zone if sellers push through the first level.
74 885→ lower key support. Its loss will significantly worsen the short-term structure.
From above, the main psychological barrier remains$78 000, and then the zone$79 000–80 000. A return above it will be the first signal that the correction may end.
Macro decides again
The main problem of Bitcoin now is not within the crypto market, but in the betting market.
The yield on 10-year Treasuries approached4,8%, and expectations for a Fed rate hike have intensified. For BTC, this is a negative background: higher returns on risk-free assets increase the cost of holding risky positions.
Oil and geopolitics pose additional risks. More expensive energy could support inflation expectations and therefore give the Fed less room to ease policy.
But there is a downside: if yields begin to decline and ETF buying stabilizes, Bitcoin could quickly regain buyer interest.
Main conclusion
Now BTC is at the point of choice.Zone76 100–74 900looks like the main range where buyers may try to take over. As long as it holds, the correction can be considered a test of support. Pin below74 885will already be a serious warning for the bulls.
